On track with Battersea

On the 20th of September 2021 Transport for London opened its doors to the two new tube stations which make up the Northern Line Extension: Nine Elms and Battersea Power Station. It has been classed as the first major tube extension this century and is said to support around 25,000 new jobs!

Battersea Station is located just to the south of the Battersea Power Station site on Battersea Park Road, a ten minute walk from the entrances by Chelsea Bridge or at Pump House Lane (off Battersea Park Road). Southern Rail services run between Battersea Park and London Victoria, Streatham, Croydon and Sydenham and more.

We worked closely with the FLO teams on site to assist with health and safety and general security of tools and equipment!

Many work activities can create dust, and exposure to any dust in excessive amounts can create respiratory problems. Therefore, the management of airborne dust, spray paints and fumes created from the work processes need to be contained. That’s where the Armorgard CuttingStation Extract came into play, the SS7X is a CuttingStation accompanied with an extraction and filtration unit lowering the amount of dust in the air and lowers risk to health!

Of course, the Armorgard Sold Secure & Secured by Design TuffBank was on hand to secure all the tools and equipment! Having the TuffBank on site allowed workers to pack up after the day is done and come back in the morning to work, knowing their tools would be as they left them!

The Armorgard FlexiKart was ideal for the project. It allowed users to safely and easily move material through tight access points and store materials off the ground when needed.

Helping to power the project: the Armorgard PowerStations were used onsite to safely charge tools and equipment, as nothing is better than a secure segregated charging locker. These were key to help keep the operation going as there were few safe charging points available!
