CuttingStation wins innovation award

Prestigious industry award recognises the unique mobile workstation for its innovation and excellence in portability and ingenuity.

Armorgard, a designer and manufacturer of workstations, storage and materials handling solutions for industry, has announced today that its CuttingStation SS7 product won a technical solutions award in the equipment and tools category of the 2019 French Construction Trophies, co-organised by Batiactu and SMABTP.

The awards, now in their 18th year, honour innovation and excellence in products that contribute to the efficient and profitable operations and management of institutional and commercial buildings in France.

Judges at this year’s Construction Trophies, held in Paris this week, praised the “portable dimension” and “ingenuity” of the CuttingStation SS7, which has revolutionised on-site cutting, reducing exposure to noise and dust, and eliminating any requirement to provide a separate cutting area on site.

“Providing a safe environment to cut lengths of steel or timber close to where the work is remains a logistical and safety challenge for construction companies, with many contractors still resorting to improvised solutions.” said Abinoham Pantel, our country manager for Armorgard France.

“The CuttingStation SS7 ticks many boxes for efficiency, productivity and safety, including reducing workers' exposure to dust and noise, reducing hand-arm-vibration, reducing risk of back injury; and reducing risk of injury caused by cutting and manual handling.

“We’re honoured to be recognised for the unique value our product brings to construction firms, hire companies and contractors alike.”

Vincent Gadonneix, CEO of Batiactu Groupe, a leading digital resource for the construction industry, said: "Batiactu is very proud to organise these Trophies for 18 years now: every year, it is an honour to highlight these innovative achievements and through them, all those who make today the building industry."

Didier Ridoret, president of construction insurance specialist SMABTP, said: "This 18th edition of the Construction Awards is a perfect illustration of the dynamism and expertise of the construction industry. Once again, it allows all construction professionals to be valued by highlighting their know-how, their ability to innovate, to integrate sustainable and natural constructive modes, to respond to the challenges of their time.'
