Our steps towards sustainability

To us, being a sustainable company isn’t a fad or a trend. We want to do our part as a sustainable supplier, that’s why as a team, we have been taking small steps to reduce our daily carbon emissions.

Here are just six ways we’re doing our bit for sustainability:

  •  Taking charge

We installed electric vehicle charging points in the car park of our head office! Some of the team have already made the switch to drive electric cars, which emit fewer greenhouse gases and air pollutants than petrol or diesel cars.

  • Getting on track

Some of the team have switched out their four wheels for two and are taking the leap to cycle to work! Luckily, the weather is starting to look up, so it is an enjoyable activity - or starting to become one, anyway!

  • Flipping the switch

LED light bulbs can be up to 80% more energy efficient than conventional bulbs. They also waste less energy than some other styles of lighting. So of course, it was a no-brainer for us to flip the switch to LED lighting in our warehouse!

  • Clamping down on sustainability

At Armorgard we use our baler machine to crush all cardboard wastage. This compresses the cardboard into compact bales, making it easy for them to be stacked and transported to recycling mills.

  • Built to last

Being the best at what we do ties in with our sustainability journey! By producing products that are built to last, you’ll be able to reuse your Armorgard product over and over again, meaning you’ll rarely have to replace it.

  • Think green, go red

We’re so proud to be certified Carbon Neutral! This is a huge step in our sustainability journey, meaning that our (already minimised) carbon emissions generated by Armorgard are offset, as we have invested in projects to eliminate those emissions.
